Former Governor Pataki Endorses Altschuler for Congress

Pataki: Altschuler will help get America back on track

January 5, 2012 – Adding to an already impressive list of national, state and local endorsements, successful businessman Randy Altschuler announced today that he had earned the endorsement of former New York Governor George Pataki for his 2012 congressional bid against incumbent Democrat Tim Bishop.

“From humble beginnings as a self-made businessman, Randy has the kind of experience and common sense we so desperately need in Washington today,” said Pataki. “In Congress, Randy will rein in spending, hold the line on taxes allowing the private sector to create jobs and get America back on track. I proudly and strongly endorse him for Congress in New York’s 1st District.”

Altschuler called the endorsement “tremendously important.”

“Governor Pataki’s endorsement speaks volumes about the continued momentum and strength that my campaign has demonstrated since I announced my intention to seek a rematch with Congressman Bishop last spring,” said Altschuler, who virtually swept the Republican and Conservative endorsements in Suffolk County. “I am fortunate to have the Governor on board with my campaign and know I can lean on him for advice and counsel.”

Altschuler has been previously endorsed by Republican State Chairman Edward Cox, Conservative State Chairman Mike Long, Republican Suffolk County Chairman John Jay LaValle and Conservative Suffolk County Chairman Ed Walsh.
