Taking the Fight to Tim Bishop

I held a friendly roundtable discussion with some members of the local press this week, and did something most people in politics never do – I admitted a mistake. I talked about how dishonest and hypocritical Congressman Bishop was for attacking my background as a self-made businessman in the 2010 campaign, and I …

Bishop to Blame for Long Island’s Pain at the Pump

St. James, February 28, 2012 – Pointing to the Mobil station on Route 112 and Pine Road in the Town of Brookhaven, where it cost $4.89/gallon for regular unleaded gas yesterday, self-made businessman Randy Altschuler criticized incumbent Tim Bishop for repeatedly voting against policies that would increase domestic oil production and lower gas prices for hardworking Long Island families and small business owners.

Op-Ed on ObamaCare Mandates

An Op-Ed Submitted by Randy Altschuler
Candidate for Congress, NY-1

Dear Editor:

President Obama’s decision to force Catholic organizations to provide insurance plans for their employees that cover services like contraception – despite the fact that doing so would violate a major tenet of their faith – continues a callous disregard for our constitutionally-protected religious freedoms under this administration.

Altschuler: Congressman’s mealy-mouthed political response doesn’t cut it

February 10, 2012, St. James, NY – Congressman Tim Bishop’s weak, mealy-mouthed response to the controversy surrounding the ObamaCare mandates that would force the Catholic Church to choose between violating its core beliefs or being sanctioned by the federal government, prove how out-of-touch the longtime incumbent is with the people he is supposed to represent, charged Republican congressional candidate Randy Altschuler today.

“While a growing number of Democrats across the country are publicly breaking from President Obama and the …
