Randy Altschuler to Run for Congress

Successful businessman seeks rematch with Rep. Bishop in NY-1
Slams incumbent for failed economy, reckless spending and runaway debt

St. James, June 1, 2011 – St. James businessman Randy Altschuler, who narrowly lost the closest congressional race in the country last year, has decided to seek a rematch with incumbent Democrat Tim Bishop. Altschuler’s decision earned the support of Suffolk County Conservative Party Chairman Ed Walsh and Republican Party Chairman John LaValle.

“I am eager to contrast my record as a successful entrepreneur and small businessman who knows how to create jobs versus Congressman Bishop’s record as a tax, spend and borrow politician who has run our economy into the ground,” said Altschuler. “During Tim Bishop’s time in Congress, unemployment is up 57% and the nation’s debt has more than doubled to over $14 trillion. He is the definition of a failed Washington politician and I will hold him accountable.”

“The Suffolk County Conservative Party stands 100% behind Randy Altschuler,” said Walsh. “Next year’s election will be a referendum on Tim Bishop’s career in Congress as a big-spending liberal who has consistently failed to create jobs and has done nothing to get our economy moving in the right direction again.”

“Randy Altschuler ran an incredible race for Congress last year,” stated Chairman LaValle. “Against great odds and several primary opponents, Randy came within a handful of votes of knocking off an entrenched Democrat Congressman. While initially skeptical of his ability to succeed, I have come to appreciate Randy’s enthusiasm, intellect and dedication to this party’s principles and ideals. I look forward to working with Randy to return the First Congressional District to the hardworking taxpayers of Suffolk County.”

Randy, you have my vote again. I was disappointed to see bishop had won. How many people did it take against obumacare for him to see we, his constituents did not want it? How did he forget he was supposed to be our voice, and not make the decision against our wishes. In the issue of illegal immigration, he is also not on our side. Suffolk county is in its worst fiscal condition in years. Illegal immigrants of hispanic, indian, and other nationalities are draining our resources. Schools that we pay taxes for, hospitals that they take up space in without paying, welfare, etc. Texas takes the cars of people without ID, thus leaving them without transportation. we need a bill like that in suffolk co. too many americans are out of work here, but no job is available to them in places like even dunkin donuts. are all those workers legal?
hope you can give us hope for a better change

I am so happy to see you in the running! The First Congressional District will be a much better place having you as our Congressman. I and my family are here to support you 100%! This is great news and I look forward in helping educate the public on how important it is to have you as our next Congressman . We must defeat Tim Bishop. All politics start local.. The future of America is at stake! We need you Randy Altschuler!

Randy, I have to say. After the 2010 election, I told people that Bishop was in trouble. I told them also that if you ran again, you may win the second time around. Also to keep in mind, 2012 is a presidential election. We could send Tim Bishop and Barack Obama home in 2012.
